ORIGINAL PAINTINGS
My original paintings are generally despatched worldwide unframed, protected with glacine paper, so they should arrive with you in perfect condition, ready for the framing of your choice.

Original pastel painting of a diving polar bear. This is the first of two polar bear studies where I’ve been drawn to the sense of movement and the play of light – and LOTS of bubbles – in the water. What I love about Into The Blue is the depth and darkness of the water that he’s plunging into and the mystery of what happens next in this story. This painting recently featured in the Pastel Society of Ireland’s exhibition. 50cm x 70 cm.

Original pastel painting of polar bear underwater.
This is one of a series of sub-aqua paintings where I’ve played with the sense of motion as well as light through water. Water is an amazing medium to capture — add to that the immense presence of the polar bear contrasted against the lightness and delicacy of (literally) thousands of bubbles. This was a fun picture to paint. This painting featured in the Pastel Society of Ireland’s recent exhibition.

Original pastel painting “Turn of the seasons” of Ballyholme Beach in Bangor, Northern Ireland with the lights of Belfast and the Shore Road visible in the distance across Belfast Lough. The painting captures the scene at twilight on the Autumn equinox and is backlit with the last of the evening light showing through the clouds.
Exquisitely framed in bespoke charcoal grey ‘distressed’ wood frame with white scoop inner frame and double mount.
The image is 50cm x 70cm soft pastel on pastelmat card.

Smell the Sea and Feel the Sky – Framed Original (limited edition giclées also available)
Original pastel painting of regatta day on Strangford Lough in Northern Ireland. For the sailors amongst you this was the Toppers class in the Royal Yacht Association’s youth championship. For the rest of you, I was watching the race from another boat but the sky was so compelling and ominous that day. It almost looked like a scene from a sci-fi film. I couldn’t wait to get back to the studio where i holed up for days trying to capture that sense of immense sea and sky, dwarfing the boats in the distance. It recently featured in the Pastel Society of Ireland’s 30th Anniversary Exhibition.
Painting is 70cm x 50cm. It’s available framed (as seen in photograph). Painting and frame cost £550.00

Original framed pastel painting. Have you ever stood in the sunlight on a beach on a warm summer’s day and watched a storm front come in? This painting is from my favourite beach on the North Coast of Ireland watching the weather change in front of me. I love the clear almost balmy greens of the sea breaking on the shore whilst the storm gathers off-shore into that angry sky. This painting was recently featured in the Pastel Society of Ireland’s 30th Anniversary Exhibition.
Painting is a large 100cm x 70cm. It’s available framed (as seen in photograph). Painting and frame cost £665.00.
