If you follow this blog you’ll know that I’ve been taking part in a January “20 in 26” painting challenge.
The challenge is that I have to paint for at least 20 minutes each day for 26 days. I can work on individual paintings or a single painting in 20 minute intervals. I’m at the halfway point and just finished Day 13.
For the most part I’ve stuck with 20 minute paintings because they are so alien to my normal practice and they’re teaching me lots about suggestion and looseness and prioritisation (see my previous post).
But there have also been three x 40 minute paintings, one that took an hour and two that I did in just 15 minutes.
Here’s how they look all together so far. Enjoy.
